Management Development Partnership (MDP) was established in 1993 having grown out of a project that started at Bangor University in the early 1990s. MDP is now an Affiliated Institution of the University of the West of England.
For the past 18 years the company has specialised in two main areas of work; the delivery of management development programmes to corporate clients, and designing academic courses for individual students. The company’s corporate clients have included major government departments such as the Home Office, Foreign Office, MoD and HM Treasury, and ‘blue chip’ private sector organisations such as Vodafone, Barclays Bank, AstraZeneca and Transco.
Although corporate programmes remain important, MDP is increasingly focusing on the development of academic courses for individual students. Programmes already developed include Diploma and Postgraduate Certificate courses as well as a number of top-up undergraduate degrees in the area of business and management, and an MSc in Economic Policy for the Government Economic Service. Many of these courses are also available through e-learning using a learning methodology pioneered by MDP.
